Today the VIA Institute on Character released the findings of its 2025 VIA Survey Impact Study. According to VIA’s Isabel Howell, the study “uncovered powerful evidence of the difference strengths discovery makes in people’s lives – greater self-awareness, more optimism, improved well-being, and confidence in handling challenges.”
Key findings from the study, which examined the behavior of 3,000 participants after they have completed the strengths survey, include:
- 83% found discovering their character strengths meaningful
- 74% gained greater self-awareness
- 54% now feel more optimistic about life
- 49% reported higher overall well-being
