On July 11, 2023, The Mayerson Academy announced that it would be merging with Cincinnati non-profit the VIA Institute on Character. Both organizations share missions focused on providing people with the skills and knowledge needed to develop as individuals and as members of groups and organizations. Going forward, the combined organization will be known as the VIA Institute on Character.

Neal Mayerson, Ph.D., will continue to lead the Board of Directors while Jeffrey Leavy, M.D., will continue in his role as CEO.
